How can I send a request for my patient?

You can send your request in two ways: dropping off your Rx here OR the traditional way of faxing! Our fax number is 860-532-1922.

What needs to be in my order?

Please make sure that your Rx includes your patient's legal name, date of birth, your order, your signature, and a fax number to send the results to (if necessary). If available, having your patient's insurance information also helps us make the process much easier.

I want to cancel or change my order. What do I do?

Please call us at 203-920-4092 so we can process this as quickly as possible.

I need this order done as soon as possible. What should I do?

Please be reassured that we check the orders sent to us as soon as they come in. Feel free to indicate your preferences in your order. If necessary, you can always call us at 203-920-4092 if you need to reach us right away.


Who performs the service?

We have a group of medical professionals who are licensed and highly-trained to perform Hi-Rx services. Our network is composed of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, phlebotomists, clinical nurse assistances, home aides, etc.

Depending on what the service is, we match your patient according to their preferred location, time, and date, with a highly-qualified medical professional, to perform the service of your choice. Our care specialists go through a rigorous application and training process so rest assured that they have your patient's safety & comfort as their priority.

I want to request a service that is not on the Hi-Rx service list.

Where does the specimen get dropped off?

Our goal is to give you and your patient control over the care your patient receives. We give you and your patient the opportunity to choose the laboratory where you want us to drop off the samples. Let us know where your preferred drop-off location is and we'll make it happen!


What is the usual turnaround for the results?

We do not have control over the results of the specimen as we do not process the laboratory specimen ourselves. The turnaround of results should be the same as if the patient went to the laboratory or a blood draw station. This is dependent on what the laboratory test is and/or what laboratory the specimen was dropped off. 


I did not receive the results for my patient. Who do I follow up with?

The laboratory where we dropped off the specimen to should have the results. The laboratory should have faxed the results to the fax number you listed in the Rx. If you have not received anything, feel free to call the laboratory to follow up on the results. If you would like, you can also call Hi-Rx and we'd be happy to help follow up for you.

I sent my order to Hi-Rx. What happens next?

After sending the order, your job is done - we do the rest from here! After receipt, our team reviews your order to make sure that we have everything we need to schedule your patient. Once complete, we reach out to your patient to find out their time, date, and place of choosing. We then match them with a care specialist who can perform the service you have requested.
