Hi-Rx can send a medical professional highly-trained to collect blood samples peripherally or through any line. We also have nurses who are experts in the field of pediatrics, general adult care, oncology, and etc., who will be able to draw blood for you or your loved one.

WHAT WE OFFER
Use:
This is performed to collect blood that provides information about your health. Blood collection is usually performed peripherally but for some, it may be through a special or central line. Hi-Rx has care specialists that can collect blood peripherally, central access devices, etc.

Ask your doctor:
You will need to ask your doctor for a laboratory requisition that states the blood tests needed. Your doctor can either fax it to 860-532-1922 or drop the order here.

Keep in mind:
The results of your blood test go straight to the ordering physician. If you have any questions about your results, please follow up with your doctor.

BLOOD COLLECTION
Use:
You or your doctor might need to collect blood for a special testing or a kit purchased through a special laboratory. These kits may or may not have the complete materials to collect blood for the testing needed so going to a laboratory for collection is necessary. If it does have the materials for collection, some people may be hesitant to collect this on their own.
Hi-Rx can help collect specimens for special blood kits and/or laboratory kits (e.g. blood sugar testing, allergy kit testing, etc.)

Ask your doctor:
If this is a kit prescribed by your doctor, please have your physician send us an order that states the need for collection and/or special instructions needed for collection.

If this is a kit that you purchased yourself, please call us and let us know what type of kit so we can be prepared before we visit you!
Keep in mind:
The kit is usually delivered to the patient. Please make sure that you have the complete materials needed for collection before your appointment. Please also make sure that delivery is taken care of as Hi-Rx only performs collection and not the delivery. Instructions regarding delivery is usually included in the kit.
