What To Expect:
Specimen Collection, Pick-Up & Delivery
I. Urine Specimen Collection

Hi – Rx specializes in making things convenient for you! We will assist you in scheduling your appointment at a time and location that work for you.

Please prepare your identification card (ex: passport, driver’s license). This will help us verify your doctor's order.

Once verified, your Hi-Rx Care Specialist will label your urine specimen cup with your name, date of birth, date of collection, and time of collection. Please make sure that it is labeled correctly.

The materials for collection will be handed to you by your Care Specialist. This should include: a sterile urine specimen cup labeled with your information, a sterile cleansing wipe, and a specimen bag. Correct instructions will also be given to you by your Care Specialist on how to correctly collect the sample.

You will be given ample time to collect your specimen. When done, please make sure that the urine specimen cup is tightly sealed and placed inside the specimen bag. The specimen bag should also be kept dry and sealed tightly.

You are now all set! Please hand the specimen to your Hi-Rx Care Specialist. This will be stored appropriately for transport to the laboratory. Once the lab has processed your tests, the results will be communicated directly to your ordering physician. For your privacy, Hi-Rx does not have access to your results, however, a member of our team will always be happy to follow up with the lab to check the status of your results.
II. Specimen Pick-Up & Delivery

Your Hi-Rx Care Specialist will make sure that the order (if needed) matches your information. This is also the time to make sure that everything is tightly sealed and is labeled with your information.

Once everything is labeled and tightly sealed, you are now all set!
Your specimen will be stored appropriately for transport to the laboratory. Once the lab has processed your tests, the results will be communicated directly to your ordering physician. For your privacy, Hi-Rx does not have access to your results, however, a member of our team will always be happy to follow up with the lab to check the status of your results.
